The Gosainkunda trek combines the diversity of pneumatic views of Himalayas with a vast number of inspiring ethnic encounters. The Gosainkunda is located at Rasuwa district north west of Helambu. It is at an altitude of 4380m from sea level. It is surrounded by mountains in almost all of its sides. The starting point of trek is Syabrubesi. It is an interesting village on the bank of Bhote Koshi River. Gosaikunda is a divine place.
The lake melts and sips down to form the Trishuli River and remains frozen for six months in winter from October to June. There are 108 lakes in this area, small to medium in size. The challenging Lauribina La pass at an altitude of 4,610 m (15,120 ft) is on its outskirts. Langtang Gosaikunda trek offers to observe the remote and impressive hidden valleys of Langtang with the devote lake of Gosaikunda at an altitude of 4600m. The people living in the highlands of the Langtang region are of Tibetan origin. They introduce themselves as a Tamang or Gurung.
