Helambu Trek

Helambu trek is a short and easy trek nearby Kathmandu valley. It is generally takes 5 days trek. The Helambu region is a beautiful sport. It is famous for the trekkers who would like to enjoy its scenery and favorable climate. It is located about 72 km from Kathmandu valley. It extends from north of Taramarang to the upper slope of a famous Gosaikunda Lake and downward slope of Jugal himal. The Helambu trek is at the altitude of 800m to 3600m offering little less climbing as well as the warmer temperature. Helambu trek begins from sundarijal about an hour drive from Kathmandu. Nepal Pioneer Trek has been conducting trekking in this area for many years.
The Helambu trek offers pine forest, panoramic Himalayan views, beautiful mountain streams, hard and rugged rocks with snowcapped peaks, grassy land and meadows strewn with daisies and wild animals. There are snow bridges, spinning angry torrends, small lakes with iceberg’s floating on them and crystalline brightness formed by water in the upper part of the valley. This trek is comparatively easier because of less covered area, low attitude, less crowded. This trek is free from any noise in comparison to other trekking.
During trek you can observe the unique culture of high mountain people as well as the beauty of nature with rhododendrons and bamboo forests. The graceful waterfalls and snow-capped mountains make the trek one of the most diverse treks near Kathmandu. Mountain scenery at the border with Tibet and monasteries make a trek to the region an enthralling experience. The people living in highlands of Helambu region are Nepali and are from Tibetan origin and almost look like Tibetan.
The best season for the Helambu trek is autumn and spring. Winter is also good for trekking in this region. Besides easy trekking, it offers a wide range of mountainous people’s culture and spectacular scenery. We will get opportunity to interact with Tamang and Sherpa peoples at the upper section during the Helambu trekking. Helambu trek is safe and recommended. Nepal Pioneer Treks & Expedition is glad to operate this trek for you to make it your lifetime experience.
